Acoustically damped wall and roof cladding
A substantially rigid bracket 5 connectable to a substructure such as a wall rail or roof purlin for supporting a wall or roof cladding has a foot portion 2a for connection to a substructure, a spacer stem 6 and a head portion 4a for connection to the cladding, either directly or indirectly, and includes spring means 7 acting between the foot portion 2a and the head portion 4a and configured to absorb acoustic vibrations transmitted from the cladding to the foot portion via the spacer stem 6. Additionally, the spring means may be in the form of one or more elastically deformable regions which vary in response to pressure applied to the head portion which may be an elbow 7, preferably a first and return elbow. Also disclosed is a wall or roof cladding structure comprising a plurality of panels supported by a plurality of brackets.
