A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A levelling system for a mobile object
A drive system for a mobile object 50 having a platform 54, the drive system comprises a levelling system having a level detector 20 adapted to sit on or parallel with said platform, wherein the level detector comprises at least one sensor (Fig.1, 24) to detect a level condition of the platform and a drive controller (Fig.1, 26) which communicates with the sensor in order to receive level condition information of the platform. The drive controller controls at least one drive motor or engine management system of the drive system 56 in response to said level condition information. The motors (Fig.4, 156) may drive rollers (Fig.4, 156a) that can engage with the wheels 55 of the mobile object and thereby move the mobile object 50 up and down ramps or wedges 30. The mobile object may be a trailer, caravan, portable toilet, leisure vehicle or the like. The drive system may be remotely controlled using wireless communication technology.
