The assembly has first and second modules 101,201, each module having a panel 102, 202 supported by a frame 107,207, each frame comprising at least one stile 103,203 and at least two cross rails 105, 106, 205, 206, wherein the frame of the first module is engageable with the frame of the second module to form the modular door assembly. The modules may be releasable attached to allow the door to be dismantled for transportation. Each stile may include a longitudinal chamber for receiving connector plate or bar 300. The chamber and connector plate may have apertures which align in use to receive releasable fasteners. Stiles may have channels on their surface for co-operating with the cross rails via an interference fit. Cross rails of adjacent modules may have complementary tongue and groove formations. The door may include rollers for use with a sliding track assembly.
