Signage unit and system incorporating a signage unit
The system comprises a signage unit 1 with first 50 and second 52 panels arranged to have an outer 56 and inner 58 face with respect to the other panel, both panels are connected at a proximal end to a connecting element 4 which may be perpendicular to the panels an may be in unitary construction with them. The signage unit also comprises means of attachment to a traffic barrier which may include apertures 8 at the opposing side of the panels from the connector and may use linking means such as ties (11,Fig.3) to secure the unit via these apertures. A proximity beacon 5 comprises a transmitter that transmits a key to a users mobile device, wherein a program on said device then allows the user to access information from a database about the road-works present. The transmitter 5 may be housed on the inner side of one of the panels 62 which may comprise a U-Shaped portion on the inner side which forms a channel 70 between the panel and the barrier (Fig.4). The front face of a panel may also bear an indicium 3 comprising a raised portion.
