Method of fabricating a protected construction panel
The method comprises applying a removable coating onto a surface of a panel P1. A UV curable sealant may be applied before applying the removable coating. The sealant may be cured in two steps, the first step using a wavelength of 200nm to 350nm and the second step using a wavelength of 400nm to 500nm. The removable coating may be applied at a coat weight of 80 to 160 grams per square metre, preferably 100 to 140 gsm, and at a temperature of 50°C to 200°C, preferably 125°C to 150°C. The curable sealant may be applied at a coat weight of 5 to 140 grams per square metre, preferably 10 to 15 gsm. The removable coating and sealant may be applied by spraying or rolling. The removable coating may be a vinyl acrylate polymer. The sealant may be an acrylate polymer. The removable coating may be peelable. The removable coating may protect the panel.
