A kit for constructing an audio-visual room comprises a set of acoustic insulation panels 164. The panels may include a mounting structure 218 for fixing a light fitting, control panel or screen, as well as tracks for attaching a fabric material. A cable loom may be provided in the cable route. Support sheet panels may form a base assembly of the room and may include bushings for receiving adjustable feet. The support panels may include interlocking edges for joining adjacent panels together. The panels may include a foam core, with the recess extending into the core. Also claimed is a method of producing a kit for constructing an AV room, including the steps of constructing at least part of the room off-site and dismantling the room to provide parts of the kit.
