Improved movement joint for between tiles and coatings
The joint comprises an elongate strip inserted into a gap. The strip includes a pair of sidewalls defining an opening to a cavity. A resilient filling 122 material is located in the upper part of the cavity. The sidewalls are shaped such that there is a waist section 116 of reduced width relative to the opening. A pair of outwardly extending projections below the waist and a base section where the two sidewalls meet. In a relaxed state the resilient filling forms a concave surface 126 on its upper surface. With pressure the resilient material may form a substantially flat surface or form a convex surface. The joint may also include a blocking component foam core 124 to prevent the resilient material displacing downwardly.
