An adjustable hinge comprising: a hinge pin B; a hinge plate leaf A, coupled to the hinge pin, having at least one bore hole for receiving fasteners; wherein the hinge plate define at least one face other than that of a traditional flat design (a non-planar surface). The non-flat surface allows for the pin position to be rotated relatively rotated when the fasteners are rotated to alter a gap between a door and a frame. The type of hinge may be a butt hinge. Instead of the leaf being connected to the pin it can be connected using a bearing or washer system. There are numerous shaped disclosed in the figures from curved (for example see figure 9) to angular (for example figure 17).
