Mobile oilfield tool service center
A mobile oilfield tool service centre includes an intermodal container such as an ISO container compliant with a global containerized intermodal freight transport system (fig 1A). Oilfield tool service components are housed within the intermodal container for subjecting an oilfield tool to at least one process that repairs or rehabilitates the oilfield tool (fig 2A). Service components include blast cabinet, inspection bench, kiln, flux oven, bit bath, grinding booth, tip grinder, dye check booth, and a computer station. Processes performed include washing, media blasting, brazing preparation, heating, brazing, cleaning, machining, grinding, matrix repair, hardfacing, visual inspection, dye penetrant inspection, non-destructive inspection, painting, canning, labelling. A power source is coupled to the intermodal container to operate the service components. The power source is a utility skid 300 housing support components to operate the service components. The utility skid 300 is compliant with the universal shipping container dimensions and configurations. Components on the utility skid 300 include oxygen gas tank 302, acetylene gas tank 304, water holding tank 306, environmental control unit 308, air compressor 310, generator 312, fuel tank 314, and storage box. Containers can be place side-by-side and wall panels removed to form a larger workshop area (fig 2A).
