Modular platform system for a swimming pool
The system 10 has a deck portion 12 coupled to a support arrangement 14. The system may be placed on the base B of a pool P below the water surface S to provide a raised platform e.g. for children. The system may have a plurality of legs 16 and a handrail 18. The deck may have a number of slots, bores and elongate troughs (24, 28, 30 Fig. 2). Stainless steel plates or straps (36a,b, Figs. 8-15) may be received in the troughs and bores to provide reinforcement to the deck and to facilitate attachment of the legs. The straps may have boss portions extending into bores in the deck and be secured by fasteners. The handrail may be attached by a system of spigots and collars (see Figs. 16-21). Also claimed is a kit of parts and method of use.
