The cavity-wall weep device comprises a body which defines a conduit with an inlet and outlet. In use the inlet 16 is adjacent to the cavity of a cavity wall and the outlet 14 is positioned towards the external face of the wall. The conduit comprises a waist 20 which has a smaller cross section than both the inlet and the outlet and the waist is located between the inlet and outlet for increasing the rate of water flow from the inlet to the outlet, using the Venturi effect. The waist may be formed with a step. The top surface of the device may be curved. Also claimed is a wall with the device wherein the device may be the same height and width as a brick in the wall. Also claimed is a method of manufacturing the weep device.
