A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A roof platform system 10 comprises a platform 12 and at least one leg 16 supporting the platform 12. The leg 16 is adjustable in length and has a foot 20 for engaging a roof. The system 10 also includes at least one securing member 30 for securing the platform 12 to the roof. The at least one securing member may comprise a pair of ladders, wherein the platform is attached to the pair of ladders. Preferably, the ladder has an end provided with a first attachment member for attaching the ladder to an apex portion of the roof. Alternatively, the securing member may comprise an arm attached to the platform, the arm having a free end provided with a third attachment member for securing the arm to a hip portion of the roof. The length of the arm may be adjustable. Preferably the adjustable at least one leg comprises telescopic sleeves and a locking mechanism.
