Scaffold board clamp
The detachable scaffold board clamp comprises an open arcuate tube strap 10 for clipping onto a tube 40, with an integral bearing block 13 comprising an integral thread or an encased nut 31; a profiled disc 20 combining a conical outer skirt with a recessed annular bearing plate; and a tensioning component 30 comprising a washer and a bolt. The bolt is passed through the bearing plate from above and tightened in the integral thread or encased nut of the strap component, causing the strap component to engage the tube and the underside of the scaffold board 50 and the profiled disc to engage the top of the board so as to hold the board firmly against the tube. The tube strap and profiled disc are made from composite materials comprising a polymer and reinforcing fibres such as glass fibres (e.g. 15-80% by volume). The bolt and/or nut are either of the same material or a metal, preferably stainless steel. The strap may be manually attachable with the tube by a snap-fit engagement.
