A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A stackable block 2 comprises a wall, said wall comprises a strip of material with an inner 10 (fig.1a) and outer 8 surface, first 55 (fig.4b) and second 57 ends, and a plurality of transverse fold lines 65 therebetween. The wall is folded about the fold lines, and first and second ends connected, to form a structure with an upper 4 (fig.1c) and lower 6 perimeter. At least part of the inner surface is vertically offset from the outer surface so that at least part of the upper and lower perimeters have stepped configurations. The upper perimeter may include a plurality of slots 30 (fig.2a) to receive the lowermost step of the lower perimeter. The strip may have material removed to form angled cut-outs 66 whereby two angled surfaces of the cut outs are brought into contact when folded.
