A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
An asymmetric conductor rail 10 comprising a base 12 portion; a stem portion 13 extending from the base portion 12; a head portion 19 carried by the stem portion; and a facing layer 11 supported by the head portion 19, wherein the stem portion 13 defines a central axis 20, and the head portion is asymmetrically offset from the central axis. The facing layer 11 preferably wraps around and covers all of the head portion 19. The rail may be constructed from aluminium or aluminium alloy, and the facing layer may be constructed from stainless steel. The conductor rail may form an assembly of two or more rails and are joined together by a plurality of aluminium or aluminium alloy blocks (15, figure 2).
