Gate bolt removable retainer (GBRR)
A gate bolt removal retainer, particularly for use with a drop bolt of a gate, comprises an inner piece of tubing and an outer piece of tubing, the inner piece fitting inside the outer piece. The outer piece is fixed in the ground (or other surface). The inner piece has a sealed bottom end so that it catches debris and/or water. The inner piece is removable from the outer piece so that the debris or water can be emptied out. The outer piece may have an open bottom end. The inner and/or outer piece may have a top lip or flange. The inner and/or outer piece may have ribs or fins to increase friction, or may have chemical treatment to increase or decrease friction. The inner and/or outer piece may be treated to prevent corrosion or increase longevity.
