A roofing panel 21 comprises a rectangular flat panel extending from an upper ridge end to a lower eaves end, with opposite first and second lateral edges extending between the ridge end eaves ends. The panels have a core 24 of thermally insulating material sandwiched between two layers 25 of thin, tough structural material, which form opposite inner and outer surfaces. Two transverse notches 22, 23 extend across the inner surface of the panel between its first and second lateral edges. A first of these notches 22 is configured to fit over an upper end of a vertical wall 3 (fig.4), and a second of these notches 23 is configured to fit over a ridge beam 12 (fig.4) of the roof. Preferably, one or more lateral edges of each roofing panel has a coupling profile 41 (fig.15a) which can be interlocked with a second coupling profile on an adjacent panel to fasten the panels to prevent air or water passing between.
