Social distancing barrier system and kit therefor
A demountable social distancing barrier for use in safely organizing and managing queues of pedestrians. The barrier comprises: at least first and second base elements 25; at least first and second support elements 21 demountably lockable within the first and second base elements; and at least one partition panel 10 removably mountable between and supported by the first and second support elements. The first and second base elements are at least partially located below ground or floor level or located within a portable ground structure and may be permanently installed ground anchor sockets. The first and second base elements and the first and second support elements respectively, are lockable and unlockable to one another using interlocking mechanisms comprising relatively rotatable or slidable female member 24 and male member 23. The female member being configured only to receive the male member when the male member is in a preferred orientation to the female member and upon the male member having been received by the female member, the male member being rotatable to locate the male member within the female member. The demountable social distancing barrier further comprises at least one demountable roof support 14 and at least one roof panel detachably affixed thereto. The roof support may be retractable.
