Resin installed surfacing
A kit for resin installed surfacing 1 is supplied in a bucket 2 with a lid. Contained within the bucket 2 is a first sealed bag 4, a second sealed bag 5, and two ampules 6. The first sealed bag 4 contains a liquid resin (e.g. a polyol), while the second sealed bag contains a setting agent, (e.g. an isocyanate) otherwise known as a curing agent or hardener. Each ampule 6 contains a catalyst for the process of forming a set resin which occurs when the liquid resin and isocyanate are combined. In use, a user tears open the sealed bags 4, 5 and pours the respective components into the empty bucket 2. The user then thoroughly mixes the components and the catalyst in the bucket 2. The mixture is then combined with an aggregate in a mixer to form resin bound paving.
