A roof cleaning apparatus (100) has a compressor (102), lance (104) and head (106). The head (106) has a fluid conduit having a nozzle (146) with an angled fluid outlet and a scraper blade having an edge portion for scraping material from a roof surface. The fluid outlet is directed towards the edge portion for clearing scraped debris. The scraper blade may be formed as a U shaped body with an opening to receive the fluid conduit. The opening and fluid conduit may have mutually co-operating features which engage with each other to fix the scraper angle. Lugs may be provided on the conduit and slots on the opening.
