Stiffening apparatus
A stiffening apparatus 10 for use with a suspension assembly 12, the stiffening apparatus comprising a strut arrangement 68 configured for receiving a first part (e.g. the suspension article 16) of the suspension assembly, and a holder 70 extending traverse to the strut arrangement, the holder being configured for receiving a second part (e.g. support article 14) of the suspension assembly, and the holder 70 being for securing the stiffening apparatus 10 to the suspension assembly 12. Aspects include: extension members 100 which can be secured to the strut arrangement 68 (via fasteners 108); bracing assemblies 92 connected to each stiffening apparatus 10. The stiffening apparatus can be mounted on the suspension assembly either during installation of the suspension assembly 12, or afterwards and may help protect the suspension assembly against seismic activity.
