A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The podium has a back panel 30 with first and second 50 side panels pivotably attached to first and second edges of the back panel. When it is collapsed the first and second side panels are pivoted with respect to the back panel so that they are parallel to one another, and the back panel is arranged between them. When it is assembled the first and second side panels are perpendicular to the back panel and opposite and parallel to one another. When collapsed the podium is releasably securable by a locking member 58. A deck 20 may be attached to the back panel; and/or the sides panels may have a gate 71, 72. When collapsed the gates may remain open but are biased towards being closed when the podium is assembled. They may be attached by gravity hinges 44, 54. The locking member 58 may be a hook lock.
