Plumbing fitting
Plumbing fitting 310 comprising a pipe socket 314 for receiving the free end of a pipe, and a grab ring comprising teeth extending from an annular body, with a mechanism for moving the grab ring from an active state where the teeth engage a pipe and a passive state where the teeth are disengaged from the pipe, a cap 316 rotatably mounted on a body 312, the fitting comprising a position indicator arrangement comprising a cap formation 372 on the cap and an indicator feature 374 on the body which interact upon relative rotation to indicate the relative position of the cap with respect to the body, the position indicator arrangement further comprising a pre-indicator feature 376 on the body which interacts with the cap formation as the cap rotates to provide a tactile indication or a resistance to movement to indicate the cap formation is approaching the indicator formation. The mechanism may comprise a release member movable in an axial direction between first and second positions. The cap formation may be a tab, the pre-indicator feature a radial protrusion, and the indicator feature an axial extension of an annular collar 388.
