The radio equipment housing includes a roof portion 102 arranged to close over the main enclosure. The main enclosure houses electronics communications apparatuses 120, 121, 122 therein, including at least one fibre transmission unit and at least one radio unit, and the roof portion 102 houses at least one antenna arrangement 105 connected to the electronics communications apparatuses 120, 121, 122 of the main enclosure. The radio equipment housing 100 has a maximum volume of substantially 2.5 cubic metres and a maximum cross-sectional footprint of substantially 1.5 square metres. At least one of the wall portions 101 comprises a window portion that is transparent to visible light.
