Aircraft interior assembly
An aircraft interior assembly has a fixed part 10, a sliding part 11 which can be moved between lockable and released positions, and a latch mechanism 13. The latch mechanism has a locking arm 20 mounted on one of the parts, and an engagement plate 30, with an engaging surface, mounted on the other part. When the sliding part is in the lockable position and the arm is in a locked position, where an engagement end 24 of the arm is rotated to contact an engaging surface 31 of the plate, the sliding part is prevented from moving out of the lockable position; if the arm is an the unlocked position, where the engagement end is not in contact with the engaging surface, the sliding part is free to move out of the lockable position. The end of the arm opposite the engaging end may have a rocker 21 which can be pushed to rotate the arm into the locked or unlocked positions, the arm is preferably biased into the locked position. The arm engagement end and/or plate engaging surface may have circular arc shaped surfaces with the rotating axis of the arm as the circles centre.
