Security device for an electrical consumer unit
A security device comprises an anchor member 20 for attachment relative to the body 12 of an electrical consumer unit and a barrier member 21 for inhibiting movement of a lid 14 of the electrical consumer unit, a first of the two members comprising two confronting surfaces spaced apart to define a slot therebetween, said two confronting surfaces being interconnected with one another at respective first edge regions of the two surfaces, a second of the two members comprising a tongue section 32 which, in use, locates within the slot defined by the first of the two members, the first member defining two apertures which extend through said confronting surfaces in alignment with one another, and the tongue section of the second member defining an aperture 33 which is aligned with the apertures of the first member when said tongue section is positioned within said slot of the first member, whereby the barrier member acts to inhibit movement of the lid when a padlock shackle extends through the three aligned apertures of the two members.
