Head restraint bracket
There is disclosed a head restraint bracket 10 for laterally supporting a non-load bearing wall, the head restraint bracket formed of a plate 12. The plate comprises first 14 and second 16 end portions, and a central portion 18 connecting the first and second end portions to one another. The central portion has first 18a and second 18b parts extending at an angle relative to one another and to the first and second end portions, respectively, to facilitate a deformation of the plate that causes movement of the first and second end portions toward and/or away from one another. The bracket may further comprise a first living hinge delimiting the first and second parts of the central portion from one another. At least one of the first or second portions may comprise a deflected part. There is also disclosed a connection between a wall and a structural member in a building, the connection comprising the head restraint bracket.
