The wall assembly comprises a plurality of retaining wall posts 2 each set upright into the ground within a concrete footing 4. Retaining wall panels 6 are interspaced between said retaining wall posts within channels formed in the sides of said retaining wall posts to form a retaining wall. Fence post mounting brackets 8 are coupled to the upper ends of at least some of the retaining wall posts. A fence post 20 is attached to each fence post support bracket. A lower end of each fence post is located between first and second fence post support plates 12, 14 of the respective fence post mounting bracket and secured to the respective fence post mounting bracket by means of a plurality of vertically spaced fasteners extending through the first and second fence post support brackets and the intervening fence post; and fencing panels mounted on said fence posts to form a fence. Also claimed is a method of constructing the wall assembly.
