Lighting fixture and ceiling system with integrated light fixture
Walkable ceiling system 10 including ceiling panels 20 each having opposed first and second edges and opposed third and fourth edges and arranged in a grid pattern where the third edge of a panel abuts the fourth edge of an adjacent panel and the first edge of a ceiling panel is spaced from the second edge of an adjacent panel. A plurality of turnbuckle assemblies each include a plate secured to corners of four adjacent panels, and a turnbuckle secured to the plate for suspending the ceiling panels. A plurality of light fixtures 50 are positioned between the first and second edges of adjacent panels, with a lens attached to first and second edges of adjacent panels, a top plate secured to adjacent panels, a wiring raceway attached to the top plate, and LEDs attached to the wiring raceway for projecting light through the lens. Also claimed is a walkable ceiling system comprising an access panel formed in the top plate to allow access to the wiring raceway. Also claimed is a light fixture for a walkable ceiling system comprising a lens comprising a horizontal member and a pair of opposing resilient sides for attachment to first and second edges of adjacent panels, a top plate with a wiring raceway attached to its bottom surface, and light sources attached to a bottom surface of the raceway for projecting light through the lens.
