Inspection Chamber system
An inspection chamber unit 10 having at least one inlet 14 and outlet 14 is connected to a pipe network that may be a sewer, water supply or gas network. An opening 16 in the inspection chamber unit 10 receives a riser conduit (104,Fig.1). Guide surfaces 52 are provided adjacent the opening 16 that guide the riser conduit (104,Fig.1) into the opening 16. The guide surfaces 52 are provided on a guide component 50 via a connection arrangement (18,Fig.4,56,Fig.5a). The guide component 50 has a skirt portion (54,Fig.5a) having a connection arrangement (56,Fig.5a) and a ramp 52 extending outwardly from the skirt portion (54,Fig.5a). The ramp 52 may be concave or may be flat. The connection arrangement (18,Fig.4) of the inspection chamber base 10 may comprise a series of first formations or castellations (24a,24b,Fig.4) for interdigitation with a series of formations (60,Fig.5a) or castellations on the guide component 50. The inspection chamber unit 10 may be stackable with other inspection chamber units 10. Further provided is a manhole cover assembly (102,Fig.1) having a frame and cover and a riser conduit (104,Fig.1) for connecting to the opening 16 of the inspection chamber unit 10 and the manhole cover assembly (102,Fig.1).
