Modular Reinforced Insulated Panel RIPs Housing Structures
The modular housing comprises, a number of roofing elements 114, a number of wall elements 101 and a number of corner elements 106, 108. The wall elements are reinforced wall elements comprising a pair 102, 104, of expanded foam (e.g. Styrofoam(RTM)) panels each with openings 110 through which bolts pass through to hold the pair of panels together. The sandwiched in the space between the foam panels includes at least one skeletal reinforcing element which is formed from a material harder than the foam material, such as wood or metal, and interlocks with the foam panel and connect adjacent wall elements together. The corner elements have a slot for receiving the reinforcement from a panel. The wall panels may be shaped with indents to receive the roof elements
