Temporary building support protection tube
A protection tube or sheath 1 for a temporary building support, such as a scaffold, is disclosed. It has a longitudinal opening 3 and has a substantially polygonal shape in cross-section. The opening may be positioned in a face or at a vertex of the polygon shape. The longitudinal opening may comprise a missing face from the polygon and the edges of the opening may be rounded. The shape of the polygon may be a variety of shapes including a hexagon, a heptagon, a square or an octagon. The tube may have an internal chamber with an incircle of between 20mm and 75mm and the opening may have a width of between 2mm and 46mm. The tube may be used with a scaffold tube having a variety of diameters and the thickness of a wall of the tube may be around 10mm. The density of a foam material it may be formed from, may be at least 10kg/m3.
