The present invention belongs to the technical field of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. A high-entropy perovskite-type electromagnetic wave absorbing material and a preparation method therefor are disclosed in the present invention. A preparation method for a perovskite-type electromagnetic wave absorbing material is disclosed which comprises mixing cobalt salt, iron salt, nickel salt, lanthanum salt, manganese salt, chromium salt, an agent such as citric acid, a dispersant such as ethylene glycol and a solvent such as water to form a sol-gel precursor, drying the precursor and calcining to form the perovskite-type electromagnetic wave absorbing material. The material formed is a lanthanum oxide material, La(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3.
