Calcination process
There is provided herein a process for calcining a metal carbonate feedstock within a flash calciner to produce a metal oxide and flue gas comprising CO2, wherein the process comprises recirculating at least a portion of the CO2 flue gas at a pressure above atmospheric pressure within a closed loop fluid path which includes the flash calciner.
