The decking board 10 comprises a an upper plate 14 providing a surface for a user to stand on during use of the decking board and a lower plate 12. The upper plate and lower plate extend longitudinally and transversely and are spaced apart in a height direction of the board. A first support member 16 and a second support member 18 extend longitudinally and in the height direction and connect the lower plate and the upper plate and are spaced apart transversely from each other to define a transverse span distance for the upper plate. The average thickness of the upper plate in the height direction in a central region tCR is greater than the average thickness of the upperplate in adjacent side regions tSR1, tSR2.
