BEAM WITH NONUNIFORM CROSS-SECTION
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the yield strength against lateral buckling of a beam with nonuniform cross-section.SOLUTION: A beam with nonuniform cross-section comprises the following: a steel central beam part having a lower flange, a web and an upper flange; a steel beam end part having a lower flange, a web and an upper flange and connected with the central beam part, having a beam height larger than that of the central beam part, with the upper flange being connected to the upper flange of the beam central part or the lower flange being connected to the lower flange of the central beam part; a reinforcing plate connected to the lower flange or the upper flange of the central beam part and joined with the web of the beam end part; and a lateral buckling suppression part that is installed on the web of the beam end part around the reinforcing plate and suppresses lateral buckling that occurs at least on either of the central beam part or the beam end part.
