DISARM DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disarm device for use with a hitch arrangement on a work arm of a work machine, which can reduce a risk that a work tool is dropped when released.SOLUTION: There is provided a work arm having a hitch arrangement by which a work tool is attachable to the arm and a measurement device for measuring a property associated with the arm, which can be used to determine whether or not the work tool carried by the arm is sufficiently supported by a surface onto which the work tool is to be released. After determining whether or not the work tool carried by the arm is sufficiently supported by the surface onto which the work tool is to be released, a disarm device checks that the work tool is not suspended above the ground, thereby reducing a risk that the work tool is dropped when released.
