NARROW PORE SIZE DISTRIBUTION CORDIERITE CERAMIC HONEYCOMB ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cordierite honeycomb articles having porosity, relatively narrow pore size distribution and relatively low thermal expansion coefficient, and to provide methods for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A cordierite honeycomb articles possess a microstructure characterized by a unique combination of relatively high total porosity of less than 54%, and relatively narrow pore size distribution having a dpore diameter of not less than 8 μm, a dpore diameter of not greater than 35 μm, and a value of d=(d-d)/dof less than 0.50.
【課題】多孔率、相対的に狭い気孔径分布そして比較的低い熱膨張係数を有するコージェライトハニカム物品及びその製造方法の提供。【解決手段】コージェライトハニカム物品は、54%未満の相対的に高い全多孔率と、8μm以上のd10孔径、35μm以下のd90孔径および0.50未満のdf=(d50−d10)/d50の値を有する比較的狭い気孔径分布との独自の組合せを特徴とする微細構造を有する。【選択図】なし
