PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold down metal fitting in which a back plate part and a cylindrical part do not easily separate from each other even when a large load is applied to the hold down metal fitting by earthquake and the like.SOLUTION: A hold down metal fitting 1 includes a back plate part 11 fixed to a columnar member 3, and a cylindrical part 12 to which an anchor bolt 5, whose one end to is connected to a horizontal member 2, is inserted and fixed by a fastening nut 7. A pair of rising side-face parts and an arching back plate part are provided in the middle part of the back plate part 11, and an anchor bolt inserting part and a back plate middle part inserting part are provided in the cylindrical part 12. When the back plate part 11 is inserted into the cylindrical part 12, inner surfaces of back side-face part and both side-face parts of the cylindrical part 12 abut with outer surfaces of the pair of rising side-face parts and the arching back plate part of the back plate part 11, and at least each of the rising side-face parts of the back plate parts 11 and the back plate middle part inserting part of the cylindrical part 12 are welded to join the cylindrical part 12 to the back plate part 11.
