SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING EXHAUST GAS
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system or a method for treating exhaust gas, in each of which mercury can be removed and recovered efficiently from collected dust.SOLUTION: The system 1 for treating exhaust gas includes: a dust collection unit 10 for collecting the dust contained in the exhaust gas; a heat medium heating unit 20 for heating a solid heat medium; a dust heating unit 30 for heating the dust collected by the dust collection unit 10 and the solid heat medium heated by the heat medium heating unit 20 while mixing the collected dust with the heated solid heat medium; and a mercury recovery unit 40 for recovering the mercury volatilized from the collected dust by means of the heat of the dust heating unit 30. The method for treating exhaust gas comprises: a dust collection step of collecting the dust contained in the exhaust gas; a heat medium heating step of heating a solid heat medium; a dust heating step of heating the dust collected at the dust collection step and the solid heat medium heated at the heat medium heating step while mixing the collected dust with the heated solid heat medium; and a mercury recovery step of recovering the mercury volatilized from the collected dust by means of the heat at the dust heating step.
