【課題】防水性の高いスレート葺屋根の補修用金属製屋根材を提供する。【解決手段】屋根材本体１の山部２の少なくとも１つを、既設のスレート屋根材４の山部４ａの上方に間隔を隔てて位置し、幅方向の中央部を上方へ向けて最も膨出させた凸状断面をなす天板５と、天板５に向けて倒れ込み、天板５の幅端５ａおよび屋根材本体１の谷部３の縁部３ａを相互に連結する傾斜辺６とを備えたもので構成する。天板５の幅端相互間の水平幅寸法をＡとし、天板５の幅端５ａから幅方向中央部に至るまでの高さ寸法をＢとした場合、０＜Ｂ／Ａ≰０．１５の関係を満足し、緩傾斜辺６は、屋根材本体１の谷部３の縁部３ａから屈曲部７に至るまでの水平幅寸法をＣとし、屋根材本体の谷部から屈曲部に至るまでの高さ寸法をＤとした場合、０．７≰Ｄ／Ｃ≰１．４の関係を満足し、かつ、Ｂ／Ａと、Ｄ／Ｃの関係が、−１５≰（Ｄ／Ｃ−１）／（Ｂ／Ａ）≰１５を満足する。【選択図】図２
