PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall expansion joint device that can suppress production cost as much as possible.SOLUTION: A wall expansion joint device 1 comprises: first and second supporting parts 10, 30 fixed to wall surfaces 3a, 4a facing a gap 5 in wall bodies 3, 4, respectively; first and second joint plates 20, 40 turnably supported by each supporting part 10, 30 around axis lines J1, J2; and first and second expansion mechanisms 50, 60 installed in rear surfaces 20a, 40a of each joint plate 20, 40. The first expansion mechanism 50 has: a first guide member 51 fixed to the rear surface 20a, and formed of a guide groove 51c3 extending along the first plate width direction W1 parallel to the rear surface 20a and perpendicular to the vertical direction Z; and a first moving member 52 including an engagement part 51d2 for engaging with the guide groove 51c3 and slidably held to the first guide member 51 in the first plate width direction W1. The first guide member 51 has the same cross section as that of the first moving member 52.
