PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail bearer which can exert a function equivalent to or higher than a function of a conventional rail bearer, which is light and small, and which can reduce installation time and labor force.SOLUTION: A rail bearer 1 includes a bedsill 9 that is arranged between a replacement rail R and a track bed. A downside through-hole 15, into which a pile 16 for being driven into ballast b1 of the track bed B1 is to be inserted, is formed in the bedsill 9 of the rail bearer 1.
