PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which a powder slag film of a powder for ingot making used for an ingot making method is firmly adhered and remains on a casting piece surface, for eliminating a powder slag film removal work, thereby facilitate a work step and prevent rolling defect in a rolling step.SOLUTION: The powder for ingot making is characterized in that, after it is heated at 1300°C for 10 minutes and then cooled to room temperature, calcium oxide crystal or die calcium silicate crystal or both of them are precipitated as crystal phases in a cooled and melted powder slag.
【課題】本発明の目的は、衣造塊法に用いる衣造塊用パウダーのパウダースラグフィルムが鋳片表面に強固に付着残存するという問題点を解決してパウダースラグフィルム除去作業を省略することにより作業工程を簡略化すると共に、圧延工程における圧延欠陥を防止することにある。【解決手段】本発明の衣造塊用パウダーは、１３００℃で１０分間加熱した後、常温まで冷却した際に、冷却溶融パウダースラグ中に結晶相として酸化カルシウム結晶またはダイカルシウムシリケート結晶、もしくはそれら両者が析出することを特徴とする。【選択図】なし
