REDUCTION OF CEMENT KILN EXHAUST GAS CONTAMINATION
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating cement kiln exhaust gas including a volatile heavy metal such as mercury.SOLUTION: A cement kiln exhaust gas flow 22 is supplied through a duct 30. A water soluble alkali earth metal polysulfide stored in a container 50 is supplied through a pipe 52, and then poured or injected from a nozzle 48, then the cement kiln exhaust gas flow and the water soluble alkali earth metal polysulfide are mixed and react so as to form a mixed flow, and a sulfide of metal such as generated mercury sulfide is removed on a fine particle collection system 40.
