PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staircase that can obtain spaciousness in a depth direction in a front view without deteriorating designability of an appearance.SOLUTION: A staircase includes a treadboard member and a load bearing member for supporting the treadboard member. The load bearing member comprises a treadboard support part that is formed of a steel plate and to which the treadboard member is fixed, and a pair of bridgeboard parts for supporting a width-direction central part of the treadboard support part, which is formed of the steel plate, from vertically below.
