PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component having excellent weather resistance and showing no decrease in infrared ray transmission characteristics even when used for a long time in a severe environment.SOLUTION: The optical component includes: a substrate comprising a ZnS sintered body; a multilayer intermediate film including two or more types of intermediate layers deposited on a major surface of the substrate; and a surface layer formed of diamond-like carbon deposited on the multilayer intermediate film. The multilayer intermediate film includes an intermediate layer formed of diamond-like carbon.
【課題】長時間の過酷環境下での使用においても、赤外線透過特性が低下しない、優れた耐候性を有する光学部品を提供する。【解決手段】光学部品は、ＺｎＳ焼結体を含む基材と、基材の主面上に積層される２種類以上の中間層を含む多層中間膜と、多層中間膜上に積層されるダイヤモンドライクカーボンで形成される表面層とを有し、多層中間膜は、ダイヤモンドライクカーボンで形成される中間層を含む。【選択図】なし
