PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material handling machine that saves time and facilitates more efficient digging.SOLUTION: A method of operating a material handling machine 10 having a bucket 24 moveable relative to a chassis 12 includes the steps of a) positioning the bucket 24 in a first position of a first region, which is a digging region, b) moving the bucket 24 to a second region, which is a dumping region, c) providing a control system to automatically return the bucket 24 to the first region by positioning the bucket 24 at a second position of the first region different from the first position of the first region, and d) returning the bucket 24 to the second region.
