PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a tundish weir to be continuously used for casting clean steel over a long period of time.SOLUTION: A method is intended to manufacture a tundish weir 15 to be disposed in a tundish 3 of a continuous casting apparatus 1. When a material containing 60-85 mass% of zircon, 10-35 mass% of silica, and 1-3 mass% of alumina cement is manufactured by natural aging under atmospheric pressure, a blending ratio X of the silica whose grain size is not less than 2.0 mm and less than 3.0 mm, and a day Y of the natural aging satisfy Y>4.2/X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】タンディッシュ堰を、清浄鋼の鋳造に長時間連続して使用することができるようにする。【解決手段】連続鋳造装置１のタンディッシュ３に設置されるタンディッシュ堰１５を製造する方法であって、ジルコンが６０〜８５質量％、シリカが１０〜３５質量％及びアルミナセメントが１〜３質量％を含有する材料を、大気圧下で自然養生して製造するに際し、粒度が２．０ｍｍ以上３．０ｍｍ未満となる前記シリカの配合割合Ｘと、前記自然養生日数Ｙとは、Ｙ＞４．２／Ｘを満たす。【選択図】図５
