UNSHAPED REFRACTORY
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory mortar material excellent in thermal insulation.SOLUTION: In unshaped refractory contains at least particles of a porous sintered body of formula XAlO, among pores of pore diameters of 10 μm or smaller, those of pore diameters of 0.01 μm or greater and smaller than 0.8 μm occupy 10-50 vol.%. The particle size distribution of the particles is such that: the fraction of particles of particle sizes of smaller than 10 μm is 5-30 vol.%; the fraction of particles of particle sizes of 10 μm or greater and smaller than 100 μm is 35-80 vol.%; and the fraction of particles of particle sizes of 100 μm or greater and smaller than 1,000 μm is 5-55 vol.%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
